During this introductory talk, we’ll go over some of the core interpretive principles of using this technique and look at examples of how this lines up in people’s actual biographies.

“When will I meet someone?” is a classic question that astrologers hear from a fair number of clients. In this lecture, we’ll go over timing techniques that can point to more likely time frames for meeting a romantic partner, focusing on zodiacal releasing from the Lot of Eros while also bringing in other timing tools you can use to help further cross-reference predictive possibilities.

A number of real examples are used to illustrate what the zodiacal releasing, eclipses, annual profections, secondary progressions, and transits looked like when someone met a significant relationship partner. If you are already familiar with each of these timing techniques then it will be easiest to follow; since all of the observations are explained during the lecture, most people should be able to follow it even if you don’t know all of the techniques already, and can serve as a spark of inspiration to learn more later.

While the Hellenistic timing technique of zodiacal releasing can be used to make predictions about specific periods of time, it also can play a kind of existential healing role by mapping the ongoing stories of our lives. Using this ancient technique in dialogue, with the astrologer contributing the technical distinctions and the client recounting details and events, we can reconstruct the narrative arc of what has already happened in the past and notice clues about what may yet emerge in the future. This lecture will introduce the topic, then walk through a detailed, in-depth real example of what this looks like in practice.

While this talk does not include a thorough beginner’s introduction to the technique of zodiacal releasing, there should be enough recap of the important pieces relevant to this particular use of the technique early on in order to follow the discussion.

Though the major periods show the big-picture backdrop, this technique operates on at least four levels simultaneously. You can witness fascinating microcosms of time play out as the different levels interact, and this kind of “stacking” on multiple levels is oftentimes when some of the most important events will take place.
