Introduction to Zodiacal Releasing
Zodiacal releasing is a Hellenistic timing technique that shows when more active and important periods of time will take place in one’s career or relationship life, as well as times that are more apt to go more positively or present more challenges. In addition to these things, it can show the trajectory of where you’re headed in a given moment, both on the big-picture level and within smaller periods of time.
When Love Comes Around
“When will I meet someone?” is a classic question that astrologers hear from a fair number of clients. In this lecture, we’ll go over timing techniques that can point to more likely time frames for meeting a romantic partner, focusing on zodiacal releasing from the Lot of Eros while also bringing in other timing tools you can use to help further cross-reference predictive possibilities.
Zodiacal Releasing as Narrative Healing
While the Hellenistic timing technique of zodiacal releasing can be used to make predictions about specific periods of time, it also can play a kind of existential healing role by mapping the ongoing stories of our lives. Using this ancient technique in dialogue, with the astrologer contributing the technical distinctions and the client recounting details and events, we can reconstruct the narrative arc of what has already happened in the past and notice clues about what may yet emerge in the future.
Microcosms of Time: Zodiacal Releasing’s Multiple Levels
Zodiacal releasing is a Hellenistic timing technique that shows more active and important periods of time in one’s career or relationship life, as well as a longer map of time with regard to these topics. Though the major periods show the big-picture backdrop, this technique operates on at least four levels simultaneously.
You can witness fascinating microcosms of time play out as the different levels interact, and this kind of “stacking” on multiple levels is oftentimes when some of the most important events will take place.
The Astrology of the Weird
Everyone and everything has a birth chart, and some correspond with stranger circumstances than others. In this lecture, we’ll look at birth charts for those with particularly unusual stories (and that have those rare accompanying birth times!), and examine how these charts reflect the very unique events and situations described.
This lecture is meant to be both fun and educational, illustrating core interpretive astrological principles through the kind of stories that make us all think ‘Wow, I wonder what that chart looks like?’ While the stories gathered here are very specific, a variety of foundational astrological rules are discussed throughout the presentation that can be applied to your chart interpretation going forward.
Repeating Years, Repeating Themes
Annual profections is a timing technique that shows which life themes will be highlighted during each year of life, creating a 12-year repeating pattern that you can trace back in your life.
This lecture will explain the basics of how this technique works, and then show what this repeating pattern looks like using a variety of example charts.
The lecture also introduces what to look for in timing more specific events within a specific year related to that year’s main theme.
Saturn Returns, Sect, and the Taboo Against Difficulty
A lecture recording illustrating how the distinction between day and night charts can be used in order to better understand the the quality of a person’s Saturn return.
Finding Joy and Meaning in the Birth Chart
While using astrology to look at problems either we or our clients are facing is common and helpful, we can also provide balance and potential resources by bringing in topics that may give different people the most joy and/or meaning.
This lecture explores the different places in the birth chart to look for topics and areas of life most likely to provide these qualities, illustrated through example charts and real-life stories. This is then extended further to briefly touch on the larger role of positive luck in life, and the potential societal benefits of collectively acknowledging the areas in which things go well for us.
