About Leisa

My name is Leisa Schaim, and I have studied and practiced astrology since 2004. I am based in Denver, Colorado, and consult with clients around the globe via the magic of the internet age. My initial studies were in modern Western astrology, and I later learned and added some invaluable Hellenistic techniques and perspectives; my consultations now reflect a blend of the best of these approaches.

My interest in astrology is the result of a longstanding fascination with why different people have such divergent life paths and personalities. I have a BA in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from Antioch College and did graduate work in Religious Studies at the University of Colorado. Gender studies was one focus of my education; I also spent time living in Buddhist meditation centers after graduating.

I have spent significant time in service to the astrological community: I served for almost nine years on the steering committee and subsequently as the presiding officer of the Association for Astrological Networking (AFAN), was the co-organizer of the monthly Denver Astrology Group for 12 years, and am a former board member of the Association for Young Astrologers (AYA). Helping to coordinate the 2018 United Astrology Conference, the largest worldwide gathering of astrologers that happens every 4-6 years, was one of the most meaningful involvements I’ve had in the astrological community.

Astrology is the most vivid and clear connection I have found so far between the larger cycles and energies of life and the individual experience of it. In my lifelong search for meaning, it is one thing that has endured. I look forward to sharing this perspective with you.
